Tryed to use it on my 1991 AOD Stang and its not sending ANY codes. Put a brand new 9 volt battery in there too. After I hooked it up it did the clicking sound thats supposed to be normal. I switched the button to audio and the other one from hold to test. I waited up to 5 minutes and no codes were sent but the LED was light up. Even if everything check out ok its supposed to send codes 11 or 111. After I did the KOEO test I tryed the KEOR test and it didn't work for that either.

I was thinking maybe this doesnt work for my car since its an AOD. [Confused]
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I can understand your frustration.

I've been trying to get a code scanner to read my car for the past few weeks. (check out my post)
My problem is a new installation. and I'm chasing ghosts.

Now my new fuel pump just died to boot!
If you happen to figure out why your scanner doesn't read and you manage to solve the problem, PLEASE let me know!
thanks,
Mark

The first time I did it, I had the plug in upside down. I flipped it around, and it worked fine.

I am pretty sure I had it connected the right way but I will try that and see.

I will let you know if I figure it out.

The little Kragen scanners are a joke. There are two right ways to do it. Either use a volt meter and a manual to get the codes out of it(explained in a Haynes manual) or buy/borrow a Snap On Scanner.
