he guys im back again with the same problem except now the oil gauge doesnt just drop to LOW while im at a stand still...not the gauge goes all the way to the red line when im on the freeway cruising, or when ever im not Stepping on the gas hard.... when ever i drive and cruise the pressure just drops..even on the freeway doing 95+...whats wrong with my car? bad oil pump, guages...???? help me out. Its a brand new 02GT with less than 5000 miles

I had the same problem with my Jeep and it was the oil sender unit. But like I said I would take it in and have the dealer fix it.

Sound like an oil sending unit, hopefully nothing else [Frown] ...Does you car seem down on power when the guage reads in the "red"???... Even so, I would take it straight to the dealer, if its still under warranty.. [patriot]

naw it doesnt seem down on power but the idle is verrrry low..its like at 600-700rpm

Modular engines also use powdered-metal oil pump gears in their oil pumps...I've heard of these gears breaking....I hope I'm not scaring you..

Just took my car to hayward ford... my oil sender unit was FU****...and a bunch of other crap...im so pissed nd have no ride to work, ne one going out to pleasanton?
