I need to change my speedo cable want to know how to pull the cluster out. Where are all the screws holding it in? Any tricks or time saving ideas to get this out? TIA...

its easy. Just take all the screws out. The ones on top are kinda hard though cause you dont have much room to work.

Buy a Hanes repair manual and it will tell you how to remove it. I have removed many different cars clusters and dashes and the Mustang 5.0 BY FAR is the easiest.

Exactly what Quick 88LX said, but then again, if you cant figure out how to remove it on your own, maybe you better have someone else replace that cable

I hope you got your new speedo cable from Ford. My parts store speedo cable didn't even last me 20,000 miles! [ January 08, 2003, 04:31 PM: Message edited by: st5150 ]

The instrument cluster is easy! Should only take you about 10 to 15 minutes. Just remove the front bezel, 2-3 screws if i remember correctly. Four more hold the cluster in place. Be careful removing the electric cables, the connectors can snap. You have to fight the speedo clip off, it takes a good strong pull. Don't yank!! Boom your there!.
Now for fun try and replace your heater core.... if you want a suck job.

its all simple phillips screws up top by the winshield, then remove that plate thats in front of your knees when you sit in teh drivers seat. After that there are a few more and the dash pulls right off real easy.
