Blue Thunder is not too bad. Hardly a street head though.

On a budget? TFS high ports with a port job because you don't need special(much more expensive) headers for them like you do on the AFR's and Blue thunders and they're several hundred dollars cheaper. Some hogged out Victor Jr's will work as well.

TFS High Ports are probably the best known head out there that will take you from mild to wild.
Vic Jrs. are the underdog because nobody thinks you can make power with them. But you can!
In my humble opinion AFR=Hype
If you need to talk to a "head" guy. I have a good friend that is starting up his own shop in Sac town.

Like most machinists they need help in the computer age. So, as of right now he does not have a website. I am working on it right now. His name is Nick Bastio(I hope I spelled that right)He is a real nice guy and is easy to talk to. Give him a call. He has done a lot of Winston cup, Pro Mod, and some Pro Stock stuff.

Haven't gotten my 408 dynoed yet, but my Victor Jr.s flow 300 on the intake and 223 on the exhaust, with the help of a stage II port job from CoastHigh.com. Cost about the same as AFRs including the stage II port work and you don't need custom headers. That'll save you about $800.

Ask questions if you have'em, anyone who thinks they're too cool, know's it all, or doesn't want to look stupid has more problems than you.

The AFR 205's DO NOT need custom headers. The exhaust port is only raised .125"

You're right, I did some research, its the AFR 225's, not 205's that need the custom (yates style?) headers. The TFS high ports are drilled for both types of headers.

i think im going to go with the TFS high ports. now, on to figuring out the rest of the combo. what would be a good intake manifold/carb set up for that? im going to use a semi streetable cam (along the same specs as the f cam probably) since i know that matters thanks fellas for your opinions
