9mm Ford racing wires on a 2000GT?
I'd hold off on the MAF and chip. Start w/ the simple bolt ons then work your way up from there. Some pulleys, cold air kit, and a full cat-back exhaust system (maybe even some long tubes) would be a good start.

pullies, catted or off-road h or x, might as well do longtubes at the same time, short throw shifter, and 4.10s

seriously you arent gonna get anything with a pretty much stock 2000 gt with a maf, ur not gonna be finding those wires anytime soon unless they recall the ignition on the 2000 gts and somehow get it back to a distrubitor, and the intake honestly doesnt do much. i made the same mistakes when i got my car. i would reccomend gears, offroad pipe, filter, and a cat back.those are gonna make the biggest difference on a stock motor. then maby later do some headers. i wouldnt reccomend naws unless you get the nozzle kit. ive seen way too many plastic intake manifolds shattered. Get the Gears, a 2000 Gt with 4.10's will smoke a 2000 Gt with all the stuff you're about to get on it. The only bad thing about nitrous is it can really cost you a lot of money in the long run. I say gears and then see what you want to do after that.

if you really want to upgrade your ignition, get the plasma booster. bunchmyfunky did a test and posted the results somewhere on here, you'll have to look around on the boards for the thread. I would upgrade exhaust and gears first though.

Like other people said, there is nothing cheap. You need the basics, full exhuast, pullies and gears. Then if you want mid to low 12's you will need some NOS. You can do all the mods for arond $1,500 if you install it your self.

Get Gears, Tri-ax and Nitto's as your first mods. Then whatever you do after that do it in sets. A quick breakdown would be and not in this order you get to decide that. 1. Densecharger intake to TB, 70mm TB and a intake spacer. 2. Pulleys, TA and PlasmaBooster. 3. LTs or leave the stock manifolds, X or H pipe and catback. That right there is good for very low 13s. Then some ET Streets and some suspension work and your in the 12s. Good luck and have fun with it.

In 1999 Ford introduced coil-on-plug technology to the Mustang crowd; in other words, you won't be needing those "blue wires" . Pop your hood and take a look .
ET Streets on draglites, 4.10s, offroad x-pipe (if you like NOISE), and a Triax are good first mods and a recipe for mid to low 13s.
Follow those upgrades with a plasma booster, underdrives, and a timing adjuster.
Once you start modding there's no stopping .
Oh yeah, there are no "cheap" 4.6 mods...
