Which one can I use for my 306? Will a Timing chain cover work from a 351?

not sure on this one man, the heads sit like a inch higher on 351 so not sure it that would through where the timing chain cover sits, also it would have to come off of an injected 351 the carburated ones had a open on the cover for the fuel pump. It's going to be carbed with an electric fuel pump. There is no spot for a mechanical pump. I had a cover for a 289/302 but it is a 5.0 motor so I traded it for a 351 cover. It bolts on the same but I was not sure about the timing pointer and the Water pump. I bolted on a water pump from a 289/302 but was told the timing marks would be hidden by the passenger side outlet. So I bought a 5.0 water pump with the drivers side outlet. it also bolts on to the T/C the same but the cover now has to extra bolt holes that the W/P does not have.
This motor is going into a 65 Fastback. help?

351 timing covers have a larger front pan seal and they often arent drilled for late model reverse water pumps like 5.0 EFI motors often use. also the timing cover dowels on early 351s are too small to use on late model EFI motors unless you dont use the locating dowel pins
(this is from Punkina5.slow ..he asked me to post it for him)
