I have an 87 5.0 with a 1990 5.0 motor in it. I recently put a new computer in my car but it was program for an 87 5.o motor. So now i need to exchange it for a 90' 5.0 computer they gave me theses two numbers E8zf-da and e9zf-da now i need help from people who have a 89-93 5.0 with mass flow,5 speed and hard top. I have got to other answers and they told me E9zf-da. So if you guys can help me out it will be greatly appreciated.

If it is a regular A9l computer, you should be able to swap with any mass air computer from 89-93.

when you swapped the motor did you go with mass air?
if yes then you do need to replace the computer with any 88-93 MASS AIR computer.
If you didnt go with MASS AIR then you DO NOT need to upgrade your computer.

you said you swaped engines, but computer stuff....why would you swap them anyway unless you hurt your engine... you get no more power from a 90 engine at all.... just leave your old stock speed density on it... it will work fine
