My neighbor in Chico was talking to me about my car yesterday, asking me my times and he said, "Is that on the NAWWWSSS man?", I said, "nope, its naturally aspirated". He goes, "Good man, I mean, that NAWWSS shit is fast, but that NAWWWWSSSS will blow up your motor." So if you guys are looking to put NAWWWWSSS on your motor, don't it will blow it up. Trust me, my neighbor told me. [ December 04, 2002, 10:19 AM: Message edited by: 2000BlackGT ]

N20 can easily blow a motor when used incorrectly. So can a lot of other things.

well that's a true statement in my case blew the engine with a dry kit but timing was advanced but im scared now to throw anymore nitrous or a blower on my car without a built motor.I learned my lesson as these modular motors are damn expensive that's why next year i'll have a n/a race motor

well first of all, and no offense or anything, but that was way user error. You had increased timing, and didnt put colder plugs in. Come on man, you gotta do the simple stuff first. Second of all, what do you need forged pistons/rods etc for if you are staying with an N/A motor. Sounds like a waste of $$$ to me

Didnt you also run like a 100 shot or 150 shot on a stock fuel pump? Can't remember exactly.

yes im sure it was my fault but dry kits suck only if you have them dyno tuned and yes i installed colder plugs.Well you gotta understand something pistons =compression ratio to make power on a n/a motor you need high compression the stock 9:01 ratio is good for supercharged engines im going with a 11:01 ratio to make hella power n/a stock pistons are junk anyways plus for the future just in case i wanted to throw some nitrous on$$$$ is well spent on forged internals theres no way possible i can see why you say it's a waste of $$$$

It is a waste of money and dry kits do not suck. Get a stock replacment motor and throw a blower on it.

i dont think its a waste of money to build a built 4.6 motor, thats like sayin its a waste of money to build a pushrod motor then. (right?).if u r just gonna drive the car and not beat on it then yeah u dont need to but if u put a power adder on then u will definately need forged internals. i agree with 281 n/a on the motor maybe becuase im almost done with mine ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

sorry, by looking at your sig, you said you wanted 11s on motor, it didnt say nitrous anywhere so thats why i questioned the use of forged internals
