I have an appointment with APEX on Wednesday for some griggs subframe connectors and MM cc plates. is there any cheap adds that i should consider while the car is in the shop and the credit card is out?
Wish i could get the full griggs set up but the budget will need to stay under 1K.

What other mods do you have? If you dont have gears, GET THEM. Go to Rear End Specialties, which is down the street from Apex and have em put some 4.10's in. Also, if you dont have an x-pipe, i'd recommend one. Pulleys are super cheap as well, and will give you an easy 8-12hp.

I would invest in an anti-roll bar or whatever the new cobras have to prevent wheelhop and the breaking of axles. That and some gears will let you launch hard and you'll see some great ET's for stock.

thanks for the replies, i think gears would be nice, but i don;t have $750 for the gears and labor. for some reason they say the 99 cobra is hard to get to or something. Maybe with Tax return money.

Well in the meantime, get some pulleys, an offroad Xpipe, and some drag radials. That'll put you ahead of the competition on the streets, but until you get those gears, your car wont be the beast it should be.

I don't know if it's cheap, but the rear pinion brace is supposed to help reduce wheel hop on the IRS.
