I maxed the solenoids out at a 175 shot. Just the normal shot, it went into the intake tube just before it went into the throttle body. I had dirt track tires that are used at petaluma raceway often (american tires). Other than that I dropped the timing to 7-8 degrees, gapped the plugs at 35 and had a 255 walbro pump. With a 1.77 60 foot I hit a 12.1 @ 113.
I wanted 11's badly, so I took the cats off and put a flowmaster cat back kit on it, disconnected the front sway bar and took it back next week. Right off the bat it felt INCREDIBLE, then I hit 2nd gear and the clutch went up in smoke. Car was sold, and I moved on.

i went 12.28@110.5 with a 306 with afr 165s ,ported rpm,extreme energy 274hr cam,1 3/4 longtubes ,dr gas x pipe,and ultraflow mufflers in a 3200lb car.

I went 12.9s 3x (could have easily done more) on no power adder, stock HO motor with an explorer intake, pullies, exhaust and 100-150#'s of weight reduction
(HIDNNOS, I was just bagging on you, never mind)

I did go through about 4 stock type clutches before I went to a centerforce dual friction
It was prolly about 215hp shot.
wet kit plate with NITROUS EXPRESS shark nozzles plumbed into the sides.

Is that combo going on a stock block??? What AFR's do you have, if they are the 185's then you might have a peoblem. My bro was doing the same thing, and when he put the heads on it didn't clear, so now he is going with a stroker, with dish pistons.

I went 12.04@113.9 with heads, cam, intake, long tubes and slicks. Went 12.8@106 with a 93 cobra motor with long tubes and slicks
