If I have to replace my synchros on my 88 lx 5.0 mustang, would I be better off just changing the gears to 3:73's? If not do I just need to change the synchros? And what's the full word of it I know that's like a shortened version or something. Thanks

I tink your a little confused. Synchros and gears are not related.

Your synchros are in your tranny...If one is shot, your gonna have to rip apart the tranny and have it rebuilt if you cant do it yourself. Id just find a T5 used somewhere...
