I just installed the Steeda TA and Pullies.
TA is set on 14deg, and I get detonation in 3rd and 4th gears at WOT.
Whats everybody else running their TA's at on shitty 91octane fuel?

You should be able to run 14...that's odd...but it is hot outside today...go to 13 and see what happens. Trial and error.

Are you sure it's detonation??? Your motor has knock sensors and would automatically retard the timing if this was to occur, then you wouldn't even know it's occuring.

Sounds like a high-pitched rattle. Almost like a baby rattle. Soft in the top of 3rd, then much lounder once shifting to 4th. Sounds like its' coming from the rear driverside of the motor.

It looks like 12 degrees will be ideal for your car. 2 degrees before the point of detonation is the general rule of thumb for most power.

FYI-My Steeda T/A is set/has been set at 14* for the last 3 months or so-No knocking whatsoever. Maybe shitty ass Steeda sent you a defective T/A, like they sent me a defective alternator pulley 3x in a row and made me pay each time to ship it back.

Well... backed it down to 13.5 degs, and ran it hard in the heat of the day (100+ degree temps).
No detonation.
It's funny how .5 degree can make all that difference.
