Just wondering if anyone on here has actual dyno numbers of cars with this set up. I've never seen numbers on them and are just curious how much people have squeezed out?

I've seen a bunch of them on the dyno... 250 being the low, and 285 being the high. Most fall in the middle.

The heads on those wimps are so bad...even blown ones arent putting out shit...do the headswap and you'll see nice #'s.

DAMN THAT LOW... I plan on get an intercooler b4 I dyno it how much of a differance will that make? I know byron said no more then 320 until you change the heads. I'm happy with what I have and dont want to build this motor, I'd rather buy a new one and start from scratch!

I know the heads suck, that's why I was asking. I have a 5.0, so i was just asking out of curiousity.

my old 97 gt that my neighbor now has is a 97 GT with a svo roots blower. 9#s of boost, bassani x-pipe w/cats, flowmaster catback, pro-m maf and other minor things made 297rwhp and 332 rwtrq. its a roots blower so it makes more low torque than some centrif. blowers. it was tuned by Byron. Wow, thats awesome power out of that blower! I remember seeing a guy in Sac with a black '96-'98 GT with the SVO blower... he couldn't get out of the 14's or past 100 mph.

What dyno did he go to? What mods? Just a blower and exhaust?
As for the guy I saw, he was a mustangworld guy. So was the 250 rwhp S trim guy. Both were cool guys, but their cars numbers were lack-luster. [ September 04, 2002, 12:45 AM: Message edited by: st5150 ]

really well he ahd to been pushing 12-14 lbs of boost
couse i know 96-98 gt really suck the best i saw was a 13.7 thats why i traided my 98 for my 99 i did not think it was worth it to supercharge the 98 if it would only run mid to high 13's

I have a '98 Saleen, Vortec V2, aftercooler, Bassani X-pipe, 80mm MAF. They fitted the wrong pulley (3.48"), and she is pushing 300 rwhp. I expect 310 with the smaller pulley (3.33), and 330 with a more agressive tune.
Chris.

actually he was only running 9# of boost. some cars are just stronger than others. i know of another 96gt with a vortech setup, stock vortech setup with exhaust, he dynoed somewhere around 255-260 rwhp. thats pretty weak for a blown car. you're right though, most of the 96-98GTs that i see at the track are barely mid 14 sec cars.
