By "dump" do you mean get rid of, or put turndowns on the flows? Either way i'm not sure why you would do that if you're looking for more power. An off road X would be a good idea, but you'd probably see better gains as far as track times with gears. The gears and install will probably run more than 400 bucks though.
If you did get the off road x you'd probably have some money left over and pullies would be a good addition to the car.

he doesnt want to go illegal with the off road x so that is out of the question. what else fellas? i think he might be able to pull of gears but that would be it, no pulleys or anything.

Thanks for all the opinions guys it's helped a lot but I think I'm just gonna go with a BBK off-road x-pipe and then save the rest maybe get a breather valve also. I just need to know the exact cost to order the pipe and get it installed.
