I have a '93 T5 with 116k miles that is good other than maybe a little track abuse A buyer probably couldn't tell that it is anything other than your standard "well broken in" T5.
I also have a '94 cobra T5 which has about 50k miles on it and is in much better shape.
I already have a McCleod Bellhousing-- which fits via an included motor plate either a T5 or a 3550--, a spec stage III clutch, and so a Tremec TKO is probably out of the realm of economic feasability.
But what about a 3550? From D&D it's $1200 + $100 or so to ship? Figure I can get maybe $800 bucks for both my trannies or who knows maybe even a little more?
What makes more sense? The application is a 80% drag/20% street 302 making ~300 rwhp and running up to a 150 shot.
Should I roll the dice on the T5's and just use them till I break, or swap for a 3550 now? What do you think? [ August 23, 2002, 09:10 AM: Message edited by: shade-tree ]

I like banging gears
If I wanted a bracket racer or something, C-4 (or glide) for sure.

I'd sell the T5's. A broken T5 is worth nothing.

Why are you even thinking about this??? T-5s are garbage compared to a 3550/TKO. Do the deal and never look back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
