I need a few things swapped in my 93 coupe. I am getting very loud creaking/squeaking when I push in the clutch cable. Probably a combination of the cable and pivot ball needing lube and a bad TO bearing. I originally planned to do it myself, but my vacation is winding down, and I don't think I have the time to drop the tranny myself right now (i've done it before and its time consuming, at least for me).
Looks like I may want to take it to a shop that knows about steel bearing retainers, adjustible cables, etc and won't simply tell me, "yeah, you need a new Ford aluminum retainer, a new Ford TO bearing, a new Ford pivot ball, a new Ford cable." That's the last thing I want to hear. Thanks Luke

TM, are they a competent and honest shop? Do you have any personal experience with them? I just need some minor drivetrain work done on my 93 coupe (work I would do myself if I had the time right now). Thanks Luke

They're pretty good. I've had a fair amount of work done there. The labor rates are high, but so is every place in this new country we live in (Peoples Repuplic of the Bay Area).

Jerry over at ABC Mustang (510-886-TANG) in Hayward might do it but he has been sending most of his late model customers over to Advance Autosport or Mostly Mustangs. I have never heard anything negitive about all three shops.

You can also try Souza Racing in Hayward. I dont have the # but you can call 411. They Built my Dads 427 for his 75 F250. I miss that Truck! But they do a good Job!
