How much power does your car have to make before the stock intake manifold becomes restrictive? Thinking about doing an efi conversion on my '65 coupe and want to know if I can do it junkyard style or should I look for an aftermarket manifold. How much can the stock 19lb injectors handle? Thanks in advance

A stock block has 500 hp capabilities. 300?? No. 500+ capabilities. For awhile anyways. Drag Racers do it all the time. Anything more than this and you need to start looking into 4-bolt blocks. It is capable though.

It all depends on what the rest of your combo is going to be. Generally speaking, the stock 5.O intake is best for stock 5.O heads. 19 lbs injectors are good for about 250 rwhp with the factory regulator.
