I have a major problem and need some help. When power goes threw my drive train, my car's rearend slides to the right( like my cars tires are spinning and the rear was slidding around ) but I am only at like 1500 rpm. I have BBK lowers and Ford Racing upper control arms with eibach springs and kyb shocks. All have 3000 miles on them. The problem started during a hard shift into second and a funny popping noise. Can anyone help?

Maybe you lost a bushing or two out of one of your uppers
My car is starting to have a similar prob. I'm still running the stock control arms though. Too many 5k launches on the slicks have worn those babies out.
Just an off topic question. How does your car run with the 11:1 compression? What octane, timing, etc are you running?

Thanks for all your help. I checked the torque boxes and they are fine. So I disconected the uppers from the torque boxes and the left uppers bolt was bent and almost broke through and the bushing was cracked in half. Any opinions on solid aluminum bushings and welding up the torque boxes.

My car runs great with the 11:1 compression. I run 12 degrees timing and supreme gas. I can get away with plus if the timing is at 10 or 11 degrees.

mustanggt5091 - Thanks for the info bro. I'm already using premium gas all the time so it sounds like 11:1 for me. What cc are your heads and who made your pistons? Thanks again, Drew

they are 58cc edelbrock aluminum castings with Probe forged aluminum pistons. My motor was built by Coast High Performance. They informed me of the 11.1:1 compression but said with fuel injection you can get away with higher compression on pump gas than carburation due to the precision of the fuel injection.
