Topic: Can you help w/ my strange electrical problem? (89 5.0)

I have a 89 5.0, stock, no real mods. When I go to start it, about 75% of the time the
clock\radio resets as if the battery was disconected for a short time. Then every once in a
while the car will turn over fine but not start. But will always quickly start the second try. I don't
know if this is related. I've cleaned my battery conections and check the main ground strap from
the left cly. head to firewall.

do you think it maybe the Altenator? cuz i know when I first got my stang the car wouldn't turn over sometimes and then it would and then it would be fine. Then other times it would turn over and not start. Try and get your altenator tested that maybe the problem, check for loose wiring as well. Other then that I don't know what else to tell you. Try and see if you can take it to a mechanic and have him look at it.
