When I take off from first, the car shakes a little from underneeth. I put it in first, give i a little gas/clutch, and I feel either the tranny or whole engine shake a little. I goes away quick and only happens when I take off. The othe day I was lined up at a light for a run. Light turned green, car rattled and sluggishly took off. Everything is fine after I get off, it's just the takeoff that's sluggish. Could it be my motor mounts???? You can feel it shake a little fom under the car. Maybe the tranny or driveshaft?? I haven't looked under the car yet, but wanted to know if anyone could give me a diagnosis?????

it might be your clutch rattling? See if you rev your engine higher when you let the clutch out if it goes away or lessens.

Could be motor mounts, trans mounts, u-joints, or a clutch chatter. Any work been done to it lately?? Did it do it more and more gradually, or just started doin it all at once? Id just roll under there and check it out, look for obvious stuff. Also check the bolts between the trans and motor, make sure all are tight. my old capri had some tranny bolts loose, and it would shake like crazy when you took off.

This just started happening, like 2weeks ago. You can feel it directly under the car. Only when I take off, after everything is fine. Looks like i'll have to get up under her and do an inspection. My guess would be the tranny bolts. My clutch is fine and all. This car has never ever given me any trouble sinse day 1. Car still pulls hard and runs strong, just this damn tranny shake as I take off.
