I haven't driven her for a couple of dayz, so I go to start her up and wouldn't you know, she not the same as when I turned her off. She idling extremely low- say 550-650, when the idle should be at about 850, and feels like she's about to die. And also feels really rough and starts sputtering and putting out black smoke from between 1000-2000, but then after that its OK. So far I've changed the o2 sensors and reset the computer, but i'm skechy about the TPS and the MAF and hope its not the MAF, any other ideas?

Do a tune up and look over everything. Replacing sensors and resetting the computer is just shooting in the dark unless you pull the codes first. Pull the codes and tell us what you get. Here is how you do it:

Ok, so I go out and buy myself a code scanner from Kragen and it tells me that it's showing code 15 which is- EEC Read Only Memory test failed. So my computer's Rom test failed, what I don't understand is how does this happened and how the hell do I fix it! [Big Grin] Would this have anything to do with the fact I have a burned chip in my computer?

Now this is a intresting turn of events- I tested with the chip in got code 15-11, meaning ROM test failed (group 1) and the secondary group is OK. Now when I remove the custom burned chip I get a code of 11-11 meaning everything checks out OK, but I still have he same idling and low RPM issues. I mean this thing is bogg-city under 2700(I tried to driver her again)...I mean wha dta heall is goin on hearre, Bufford?
