Are there any recommendations for shops where I can purchase some used hi performance heads, ie. GT40P etc? South bay would be perferable. Also, any shops that do good honest work are also welcome. Thanks...

auction block on the corral, as for installers, any competent mechanic can do it, it's a basic procedure, but probably 6 hours of labor. you might be able to do it yourself too.

well you could call like apex but they will charge you a arm an a leg
or you can have some one here do them for you im sure they will do the work for a resonable price
or you can try it your self its really not that hard ive done it a few times and its just reading the manuel and torqing down the bolts the right way

How much are you looking in to spending? You can get them new for $600. Are looking for an intake also? I got a new professional products I am trying to sell, it is a copy of the edelbrock RPM, Asking $375. Let me know.

I agree with the poser above... what is your buget? In most cases instead of buying a "smaller" head and paying money to have it ported, you're better off just buying the "larger" head to begin with.
