CLEANLINESS! Block sand it, blow it out, blow it off, blow it out again. Nooks and cranny's can and will hold a lot of dirt that you wont notice until that spray gun goes over it and blows dirt all over the place.

thats a job i did mine in my driveway get a insert from a paint store for the sand paper, some people like to have running water over where your sanding i prefer to soak the sand paper in water a half hour before i use it sand one panel at a time go in long strives so you sand evenly preping the car is just as important as painted it it took me along time to do mine.
good luck

So I plan on primering my car, I was going to pay someone to do it but I figured why not do it myself and learn from the experience.
Any ways, it's been raining a lot lately so I guess I'll be doing this when it dries up. How much time will it take me to sand down the whole car and what will it exactly look like when it's done? Is there any particular sand paper I should be using while doing this job? How much will the sand paper actually cost me? Also how much will primer run me and is primering actually difficult to do? I've never done this before. Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't primer unless you are planing to paint, primer sucks in moisture and can cause rust, and it's only good for a little while before you paint. If you want the Satin look, then paint it with satin paint not primer.

sounds good. How about sanding it down would it be okay if I did that? What kind of sand paper should I use? Anything in particular?
