all I can say is wow and the guy built it himself

"With some just a little more tuning, Jeff was able to pick up almost 100 more hp and 50 ft lbs of torque, and the tune is still on the conservative side with only 23.5o of timing and a safe A/F ratio. Precision Turbo rates the PT-52's for 600hp each, so the 1150hp is pretty close to their rated limit, but the engine runs detonation free on 93 octane pump gas, idles smoothly at 800-850rpm, and pulls about 7" of vacuum at idle"

even better here is a quote from him

"Thanks for the compliments guys.
For those of you who jumped to some kind of (mis)conclusion that I paid someone to build that for me, you are mistaken. I have been planning and building the Twin Turbo SBC 427 for almost a year. The only thing that I did not do my self, in my own 2 car garage, is the machine work on the cylinder block, and part of the construction of the custom headers, intercooler, and exhaust.

I took the car to a chassis shop experienced in building turbo setups for NMCA/NSCA and NMRA racecars. However, I did much of the work, including the TIG welding. The owner of the chassis shop and I cut all the tubing and he tack welded it all, while I finished welding it back at my house.

I can assure you that I am A CAR GUY, who BUILT this MYSELF. If you don't believe it, feel free to call Jeff D'Agostino, owner of Fast Times Motorworks, and he can verify that all they did was the precision machine work (boring, honing, etc) and helped me dyno test it. I assembled the engine, selected the parts (including cam specs, cylinder head specs, etc).

I believe the $9000 that was mistakenly quoted as some kind of fee for assembly, was actually the quote I recieved from the chassis shop for building the headers, intercooler, and exhaust, but as I mentioned, since I did alot if it myself, it was not that much.

You guys have a nice board here, and I don't want to be a troll or whatever, but I just wanted to clear up some misinformation. If you would take the time to read my website (which details every aspect of the construction of the engine and car) rather than jumping to conclusions, you would see that it was built by ME in MY OWN GARAGE.

BTW, 1050hp was just on the initial dyno run with no tuning, later that day with a little tuning of the Speedpro?FAST computer we netted almost 1200hp and 1000 lbs, on pump gas with a mild tune of only 23.5 degrees of timing and a rich, safe A/F ratio"
