ok, my friend and i are in a debate here that turning the ac on in his 96 z28 actually cools the engine
i personally think hes full of shit, but thats just me, so just answer here

Turning on the A/C turns on the electric fan, thus cooling the engine extra on non-hot days or at freeway speeds.

hmmmmmmmmmm i was thinking that that one might be about the same size, but not bigger, tires are definately smaller though

the A/C will put a load on your engine and therefore the overall heat of the system will eventually increase. However, the A/C is usually tied to spin the fan as st5150 says. Generally speaking, the fan will aid cooling.
but if the fan is already on, the A/C will bring the heat up. Why? 2nd law of thermodynamics.
