OK I HAVE A 98 COBRA CONV ,AND I KNOW I HAVE POSTED THIS BEFORE BUT I NEED HELP AND THE DEALER IS USELESS.MY CAR WHEN I AM DRIVING THE IDLE WILL RAISE 2 OR 3 HUNDRED RPMS .NOW IT WILL DO IT SOMETIMES AT A STOP AND SOMETIMES WHILE I AM DRIVING .THE DEALER CHANGED THE TPS SENSOR,IAC,CRANK SENSOR.AND SCANNED IT FOR CODES SEVERAL TIMES,NOW ALL THIS HAPPENS WITH NO ACCESSORIES ON BESIDES THE RADIO.THE ONLY THING WRONG WITH THE CAR IS EITHER THE BATTERY IS BAD OR THE ALTERNATOR ,CAUSE THE VOLTAGE GAUGE IS VERY LOWDONT KNOW IF THAT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.ONE THING I DID DO WAS I POPPED THE THROTTLE BODY OFF AND THEINSIDE WAS BLACK ,AND IT LOOKED LIKE THE INTAKE WAS BLACK AS WELL .NOW SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT THE BLACK STUFF WAS CARBON,SO I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THAT I CANT CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY BECAUSE FORD PUTS A COATING ON THERE TO PREVENT CARBON BUILD UP ,SO THEY ARE WORKING ON GETTING ME A NEW INTAKE AND THROTTLE BODY ,,COULD THAT BE THE PROBLEM ,,PLEASE HELP

common problems include plugged EGR, and a common solution is a few "speedholes" in your TB.
I don't recommend the speedholes, btw.
