2001 Saleen, Need some help Have a 2001 S281 Saleen N/A with the normal stuff. 2-1/2 in SS Borla cat back exhaust, Saleen underdrive pulleys, Saleen computer reflash, 3.55 rear end and have added 2-1/2 in SS Bassani X-pipe with high flow cats, MIL Eliminators, 70 mm Ford Racing TB and MAC CAI. Question or problem seems to be I don't have any top end. Car will get to 120 pretty damn quick but then seems to hit about 130 and doesn't seem to want to give me any more. Like timing is off or fuel has run out, but temp guage doesn't go up. I also pick up a vibration at about 110 and it doesn't get worse or go away. Not driveline, aerodynamics? Or engine? Have been reading on the board about fuel mapping? Am wondering if I'm starving the engine over 120. How does fuel mapping work, what do I need to do to set it up and what tools. Or does anyone else have an idea why a 2001, with about 70 more hp, won't run as high a top end as my 1996 GT did? The 96 had March underdrive pulleys, Borla cat back side outlet exhaust, K&N filter and 3.27 rear end. I got 137 top end with the 96 and would think as quick as the 01 gets to 120 I should be able to get 140-145 with out too much trouble. Whats happening?
