i was interested in 18 inch wheels but they were very pricey ,,so i found this site that sells oem quality wheels the only thing is they dont sell the saleen center caps ,,and they are 1/2 the cost ,,my question is has any one had any good or bad luck with replica wheels ,,or even after market wheels ,,,thanks

I have replica Y2K Cobra R's on my car, they seem to be fine. usually aftermarket rims are a bit heavier than the originals, from what i have heard. If it comes down to it, just order the center cap from Saleen to replace the replica center piece.

My buddy has replica 95 R's,and his chrome is starting to flake off,which I hear is a common problem on replicas... ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

And even if you get the Saleen centercaps,any Mustang enthusiast will realize they are fake cuz they dont say Speedline on em. ![[Wink]](wink.gif)

Most places you cannot just order the center caps without proof of purchase.
For example:
I have Replica Cobra R Wheels on my 91 like just about everyone else that has mustang. I cant just go to the dealer and say can I get the FMS Cobra R caps they wont sell them to you unless you like have a recipt or u bring the car and show the guy the wheels.

replica wheels .com ,,oh and for all those guys who will notice they are fake because 9 out of ten people will not be able to tell,,i will laugh in there face because mine will look as good as theres and i paid 1/3 what they did .because all saleen does is charge you for the name

and the performance........... and the fact that Saleen rims go on Saleens. Now that I have shown my Saleen pride let me say this, don't get pre 2002 chrome Saleen rims, they have had a problem with chrome peeling and Saleen does NOT repair them under warranty, I'm glad I have the silver ones to match my silver car = )

Let me get this straight. You laugh at people who pay for real Saleen wheels, yet you want people to think yours are real by buying Saleen center caps. So, won't people laugh at you thinking they are real Saleen wheels?

even if they are fake what is the big deal if it is what i like ,,what the difference if i paid 4,000 or 40.00 it shouldnt matter as long as they look good that s all that matters ,if saleen dropped there prices then i would buy them ,,and the peeling i am aware of that i was going to just crack down and spend the 3,000 but then they also had another recall on the same wheels ,they are having some kind of a problem with welding or something like that .i am not trying to start a huge contrversey ,,i like saleen just if i can get identical rims for less then half price then i am sorry ,also sorry i if i offended anyone

I think it is only for certain rims,not all of em are recalled. I found an article that listed the Saleen numbered cars that are recalled,and that they WILL fix it under warranty if it came on the car by giving you new ones. It was on the Corral I think,anyone else read this? ![[Confused]](confused.gif)

thats for the Saleen rims that weren't properly baked and may crack, not just any chrome rim.
mine were recalled the day after I got curbrash = )
