im using 10w40 right now on my 98 cobra.. 76,000 miles... use royal purple... someone said thats too heavy of an oil? any input? thanks guys/gals

5-30 would be fine. Synthetic oil has better lubricating/protection properties than conventional oil. Therefore you can use a lighter weight oil without sacraficing protection. You could probably use 0-30 without any problems.
