Well,I got my exhaust in the mail today. BBK O/R H pipe,and Flows catback. Now people keep telling me that the H pipe will leak if I dont have the middle crossover section welded...Does anyone have theirs not welded,and use the supplied clamp instead? If so,does it leak? I also read that they wont seal properly where they connect to the headers unless an air ratchet is used to tighten it,since doing it by hand isnt tight enough I guess. Does anyone know of a shop that can install it for me for cheap? Its beginning to sound like a pain in the ass for me. ![[BS flag]](graemlins/bs_flag.gif)

The trick is not to over tighten the ball&socket joints or they'll warp and leak. I don't see how you can really get a wrench on those nuts anyways, using deep sockets is a must. As for the cross over pipe connection, I've never heard of or seen a leak from there. Again, the idea is not to tighten the piss out of it and warp the round tube into an oval shape which will leak. When taking the stock H pipe off, use lots of WD-40 on the nuts ![[Smile]](smile.gif)

I just unplug the sensor and remove the H pipe, once the H pipe is out, use an ajustable wrench to take off the O2 sensors. I haven't done this on a 94/95 so I don't know if you can pull out the H pipe with the snesors in place or not, but I have a hunch you can.

yeah, you can. those sensors were a bitch to get out for the first time, but the little tool popped them right out ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)

It is a little time consuming but not that hard. Like st5150 said, the O2 sensors unplug and worry about them after the stock H is off. The just use a cresent wrench to take off. Leave them off ofthe O/R H until after it is installed though. It is hard to get to the botls at the header when they are on as you will see when removing the stock. The heder bolts are nottht hard to get to, just take you time. As for the clamp in the middle of th H, after all of thenew cmponents are on, be sure that th tips are straightandeverything is true, then clamp that bitch down tight. I then recomend having a muffler shop weld it. It will cost about $15. You dont have to but that will leak even thouh it may not be noticeable.After everything is installed the H pipe may be low to the ground. This is when you loosen the clamp, pushup right where thatintersect is and then reclamp it down. This is another reason to have the welding done because wen that clamp comes loose as it will eventually, theH will drop.

Last302...did you have any problems with it leaking at the headers? How did you tighten,by hand or air gun? ![[Confused]](confused.gif) So I think I can install it and then drive it down to the muff shop right? They can weld it after its already on the car?

one word KROIL..... its the best shit on earth helps break damn near anything lose. Its kind of a pain in the ass to install, if you are like me and flip out after you try to get it just right and still have problems, you may want to have someone near by that has done it b4. Dont take it to a shop you feel much better if you dont and you learn more about your car each time you work on it. Do you think all of the tech guys on here have always known as much as they do, Its because they have spent the time to do it and screamed ever word in the book while under their cars. I will tell you first hand its better to do it your self cuz if something happens later on down the road you can get right back under there and fix it your self instead of having to wait and get it back to the the shop that installed it. Anyhow thats just my 2 cents
