if i change the stock gears to 373's will the car actually go faster? or do i need to change the tranny gears too? and will just changing the gears break anything?

Going from 2.73's to 3.73's could easily take off .3 seconds off your 1/4 mile time. It makes your car faster,not more powerful. You dont need to change your tranny gearing,and hopefully it wont break anything out back. ![[Eek!]](eek.gif)

What year mustang do you have? If its pre '99, you won't need to change tranny gears, but will have to change your speedo gear ($10).
