installed a used cl 80 meter for my 2000gt car idles really rough driving it and it shut down on me then i stepped on it on the freeway and smoke came out of the exhaust car also smeeled really weird guy said it was off his bullit mustang so i figure the sample tubes is right for 19lb injectors what do i do car runs like shit

Eric did you disconnect the battery? If not give that a try and then go drive the car around for a while.

I installed the meter on my car and everything is working fine. The idle starts high sometimes but goes down after a few seconds. If you didn't, you really need to reset your computer. Do this by unplugging the battery (negative terminal is usually the easiest) and letting it sit for 5-10 minutes. Then put it back on. The computer should take about a tanks worth of gas to set back up for your driving style and modifications.

well ireset the battery still runs like shit i think my air fuel mixture is off could the densecharger be causing this i had a cl meter before never gave me any problems but i had the stock pipe from mass air to throttle body.Car just dies im gonna put the stock piping back on if that doesn't help then cl meter coming off

What's up man. I got the C&L 80 on my GT, and the reps at C&L said DO NOT combine the C&L kit with any other cold air kits. They warned me of the problems you're having. I think it's cause of your densecharger. try installing the C&L kit as it came and see what happens.

i took the densecharger off and it still did the same thing.I found the problem though i got the blue sample tube and i need the black sample tube the blue one is for 96-98 gt's 99-01 is black so i ordered a black sample tube from cl
