Well I'm almost done with building my car and wanted your guys opinion
I now I will end up brakeing the stock transmission on my car 99gt
What do you guys think I should get a 6 speed or get a lentech OAD
I love the felling of shiftting wich I now the oad will not give me but then the oad will help with better shiftting
also does any now if the lentech has 3 gears and on overdrive or is it 4 gears and a overdrive
thanks

All depends on what youre building it for bro> IMHO. If you want a dedicated drag strip car> then you will need a fat stall and an auto. But> for freeway runs> street fun> and auto cross> the stick is usually better. If you want low 10's hight 9's> its gonna take a while to get the shifting down for that kind of time> I am trying for it> but doubt that it will happen> not many people have done it> definately harder with stick!

I'd go with the automatic. You see very few 10 second cars that are stick shift, and almost no 9 second cars that are stick shift. There is a reason behind this Harold is right though, it depends what you're after.

If you want the car to hook and run (be able to put down ALL of your power) then go auto.
They dont load and unload the suspension in high hp applications like gear bangers do.
