I am in the market for a rebuilt kit for my stock AOD tranny. Can anyone recomend a good rebuild kit for mild street use and long life? Price is also a consideration..... I have been looking at the Dominator Jr. kit.......
Thanks for any feed back!

check your prices, the cost of labor(which can be about a grand alone)and what you will have when your all done. Then compare to a T5 swap or new lentech AOD. it's almost cheaper to buy a new one than rebuild your old one. But get a converter at least 3k stall, and do the better clutch packs, and wide ratio kit if you can. Skip the wide ratio kit if you have 4.10's or plan on them....then you won't need it. BTW...the wide ratio kit has almost all of the parts you will want for a nice buildup, w/ the bonus of way better gearing.

After a little research I found out that the wide ratio gear set is not street legal...? (bummer!)
Anyone know why?
Also, can you replace the servo and overdrive band without taking out the tranny?
And lastly, what is everyones favorite shift kit (for street use)
Thanks again...
