Ford doesn't want to pay for an engine swap any time soon and they built it so of course they know what oil is best for it. I've had good luck with regular Mobil oil. I'm sure other brands work just as well. When I replaced my valve cover gaskets at 198K miles, I didn't notice any sludge build up what so ever. That's what I've used since 500 miles, which is also what Saleen recommends. <br />I believe Saleen changed the oil weight for 2001, though. You should be fine with your 5-20.<br /><br />I've heard some guys using water wetter in their intercoolers. Not sure of the results. 130 degrees on the intercooler temp is about average. I've seen 150+ on 100 degree days.
