Well,Im going to be de-virginizing my 95 GT this Friday. I havent quite decided on what I want, and I need some pros/cons from you guys. My plans are to stay N/A. I am not sure if I should order short tube or long tube, equal length or regular headers. I am leaning towards BBK,as the price seems pretty good. Do they make an X pipe for my application,or just an H? This combo will end in 2 chamber flows...

Also,I know that the motor will have to be jacked up for long tubes...is it the same for shortys?

you generally need to jack the motor up for any header install.
equal length headers basically suck ass all around and aren't worth the hassle (MHO), but I've heard it's got a pony or two if you want the hassle.
otherwise, X or H, who cares. Probably go for the one you think sounds the best.

If your long term goals are include heads, don't get BBK shorties. They'll work fine on stock heads, but the flanges are welded to the inside of the tubes which makes the openings smaller than aftermarket exhaust ports.
If you're looking for max power from your exhaust then long tubes are the way to go. You'll need a matched H/X & I'd get some dynomax or other non-chambered mufflers. BBK & Mac make decent long-tubes & have H's/X's to match. If you go Mac, get a pro-chamber. VRS also makes an X to match.

Are BBK long tubes the same way? Will I be able to use them with Edelbrock heads?

I've heard good things about their long-tubes, but have never delt with them.
Edelbrock heads huh... If they don't quite match up & the headers need a little massaging, it doesn't take long to port them w/ a die grinder or Dremel.
BBK & Edelbrock are one in the same.
