i just got the king cobra clutch in my stang today and the rpms shoot up real high when i push the clutch pedal in. is this because its new or is something else wrong. it idles at 1.2 and when i push the pedal in it shoots up to 2.5 any help offered is well appreciated

Doesn't make sense. Does this happen as soon as you touch the pedal?

yep, as soon as i push the pedal in. it doesnt make sense to me either mabey the im going to play with the throttle body and see what happens.

does your clutch cable pull on the gas cable??

i dont think so, i had to send it to a shop to put the clutch in so im taking it there tommorrow morning

Sounds as if they knocked a vac hose off when they were removing/installing the bellhousing bolts..
