I believe you can either take the back seat out or go through the trunk and remove the lining in it. They sit next to the motor for the convertible top. If you are only getting regular sound then you may need to disconnect the amps. Be sure that you have plugged the harness in right though because just by swapping out decks you should not have to lose the usage of the mach amps. I know when I put an aftermarket stereo in my car I was able to keep using the stock amps.
