any body know were my stck amps r? i need to by pass them so i can in stall my stereo and get some sound.

They are behind your back seat. I believe you can either take the back seat out or go through the trunk and remove the lining in it. They sit next to the motor for the convertible top. If you are installing a different stereo if you get the right harness you can keep the amps hooked up.

last 302, good info thanx. but what do u mean bye right harnesses. i bought harneses and hooked them up buti don't get any sound(as in bass treble, ect.) just regular sound . u know what i meen?

Some stereos will allow the use of the stock amps along with whatever the new stereo has. If you are only getting regular sound then you may need to disconnect the amps. Be sure that you have plugged the harness in right though because just by swapping out decks you should not have to lose the usage of the mach amps. I know when I put an aftermarket stereo in my car I was able to keep using the stock amps. Check to make sure that all the factory plugs behind the stereo are getting plugged into something and nothing is going unused.

On my friends car.. he had to buy a harness. which is actually two seperate harnesses... one for the power. alumination etc.. and the onther for the speaker out puts which allowed him to keep the stock amps..
