I have a 95 GT and am looking into buying a 331 ci. stroker shortblock. Does anyone have any suggestions on companies out there that they have had good or bad luck with? D.S.S., Central Coast Mustang, etc. Help me out, an investment like this is an important one.

I am going to go through the same process this winter. I am leaning towards D.S.S. A lot of people like Coast High Performance to. Central Coast Mustang has great prices, and from what I have heard they have decent customer service. Unless you try to return something. By the way, what made you go with a 331 ci? I am about 50/50 on going with a 331 or 347. My Mustang really won't be a daily driver, so longevity isn't really a factor.

CHP has a Street legal 347 that is built to last as strong and long as a 331. I'm headed down that path.

I am also doing research on the subject. I have not made my purchase yet, but share what I've learned. Th 331ish size atroker is much better for longevity, any larger and you tend to have oiling problems.
If you can get your hands on one, the August 2001 5.0 MUSTANG magazine ran a great article comparing strokers from DSS, Central Coast, Anderson Motorsport atc... The article has dyno figs. combo choices and builder's notes.
I have dealt with Panhandle Performance in the past, & they have been great. Their website has lots of info on strokers and they have had great follow-up service.
Hope this helps & good luck!!!

You can find that article from 5.0 magazine on their website at: http://www.50mustangandsuperfords.com/ , go to the "car tech" section and click on "tech articles" then go down to engine and click "see more" at the bottom
