My friend has an old 351C out of his '70 Mustang that he might sell me. I was thinking about getting an 87-93 and putting it in there. Am I better off getting an old 4-cylinder or 5.0 liter? Does it even matter since I'd be putting a different engine in it? What exactly is involved in doing it? Forgive my ignorance, but I've never done anything like this before but want to learn, so any input is appriciated.

A Cleveland? Ewww. Unless its a serious motor or you're trying to be different, you can get comprable power out of your 302 with a well thought out heads/intake/cam package. If its a stock 351c, then I wouldn't even waste my time.

the only person i know tha has done that swap is MILESMERK...did it in an 79 foxbody years ago..if your going w/ the 4 barrel heads i would say its worth while..if i rememebr right the stock flow numbers were around 270-280CFM @.500 lift... thats damm good for a stock ford head... i dont know of many aluminum heads for 5.0s that better those numbers..if you need those heads im sure milesmerk would be willing to part with them...
