I just got a 91 GT and every time I start the car the Serpentine belt slips really bad, and some smoke comes from the fan area, I changed the fan, put bbk underdrive pullyes and the belt of my old 5.0. The Belt is like 6 months old and the reason I didnt put a new one was cuse it was like 12 at night I had no other choice, ill be getting a new belt today. But it still screams way to loud and slips to much for how tight the belt is. Please help me I need this car to run soon.

Try to be careful with solvents and lubcrants around the belt and pulley area. Once you get oil or somethin on those pulleys or on the belt its hard to get them to stop slippin again. Try a new belt tensioner though and a new goodyear gator belt.
