I noticed a difference for about 30 second and then the feeling went away cause it was so marginal. Try it though if you want.

All you do is pop your airbox out and the silencer is connected to that in the fender. Its real easy, In a magazine it showed a 4hp difference on a stock 1991 mustang so i went ahead and removed mine. Its easy horsepower.

Take the whole air intake off and it will be found in the inner fender. Yank it out!

I pulled the silencer out of my Z28, that sort of made a difference in throttle response, at least that's what I thought until I raced my friend in his Cobra and beat him by a nose. He usually walks all over when he gets into third, and fourth just gives me the chills just thinking about it, but not anymore; I'm fast again.
