Hey... I am looking into lowering my 2001 Firebird and I was wondering if what are good and affordable brands that I could buy. I am not worried about installation, bcuz my boyfriend can do it, but I was wondering what to get. Got any ideas????????

??? If you take the front and the back springs out at the same time and cut them equally you will never be able to see a difference, and as long as you don't drop it 3 inches on the bump stop it will ride good. Other wise Eibachs have never let me down.

just seems kind of stupid to be asking tech questions about a non-mustang on a mustang website.
You want a HIGH PERFORMANCE lowering kit?????? put a damn v8 in it.

uhh..because this is a Mustang website, and you drive a Firebird, and asking tech questions for your car you'd get more and better responses from people who own cars like yours..got common sense? Oh..most muscle car owners don't like to wRItE lIke tHiS yO! That style of writing is for rice rocket people...lol! Of course all car owners are welcomed on this Mustang website..but when it comes to tech questions members here would know more about Mustangs...
In any case, you could always go with Eibachs springs...they should be fine, but at the same time how would I know? I drive a 'stang. [ June 10, 2002, 10:12 AM: Message edited by: GTChink ]

geez i didnt think i would get so much crap for asking one question. All i asked for was an opinion from people who might just know some things about cars thats all. i mean if u dont want to answer to it then dont. sorry if i bothered all of you mustang owners, i didnt think it would be a problem. i also didnt know that they way you type would have any affect on what type of car u owned either. i was only typing in a different style so mine would stand out and i could get some answers. and boy did i get some answers. lol i thought everyone on here helped eachother out, but i guess not. thanx tho jared!!

It would have been far quicker to click back to the message board than it was to rip on the girl... Go with Eibachs... ;~)

Yah, i agree on the eibachs also.. i mean if you want, id check to see how they do on a f-body suspension by checkin the ls1.com forum also just to be safe..but from all of our POV's..eibach is the best choice.
