I'm thinking stick with the 1.6 svo RR and e cam but I think sticking with the 28oz crank is goanna be a hastle in the longrun and should switch it to a 50oz

If I'm correct edelbrock performer upper and lower intake is good for 1500-5500 rpm Edelbrock performer heads good for 1500-5500
And the e cam is good for 2500-5500
Does that mean the e cam is not for me? I think maybe it OK if I contradict the low end so I can hook better while keeping the high end where it needs to be " makes sense in my head LOL" but idk realistically

with your combo listed I think the stock cam retarted 4 degrees with 1.7 rockers would make good power and it would move the stock cams peak power to around 5500rpm or so iirc
should put you around 285rwhp which is right there with cammed combos
only thing retarding the cam would require is an adjustable timing chain

Sounds good, I just assumed the once you get heads and intake you might aswell throw in a cam. As for the adjustable timing chain ill get. I like the stock cam idea Just saying then what cam would be suitable [ December 07, 2012, 04:05 PM: Message edited by: Stangn5oh ]

My stock cam cuts out at 5400 so I ussully shift at 5200. E cams might be gay but they say its a good upgrade from stock and I have it laying around so yea.
But when j gather all my parts j have plans of taking it to Dan turbo50

I've seen stock cam combos make around 300rwhp and over 330rwtq just by retarding the stock cam 4 degrees and matching that with decent flowing heads and intake (165s and a explorer intake) Puts you in the ballpark, and it will idle like stock
Edit: and you could always sell the ecam for the timing chain lol I'd do that over running an ecam hands down Plus the stock cam doesn't hav to be pulled out when you degree it [ December 07, 2012, 04:54 PM: Message edited by: sneakyfox90 ]

I don't care to have my car sounding cammed on OK with stock if you reccamend... but I think I need to pm you or just talk to you more specific. Would you recamend ANY other cam IF IT. [/QUO Nice, but then non of my parts are salvageable, except the block itself.very good set up but I plan on building this simple h/c/I motor n/a, then build a supercharged motor down the road I'm not wanting to throw that amount of money on my current build but definetly down the road

Just put what you have together what you have and go have fun. Better to leave a little power on the table than to let all the shit sit because you want every last ounce of power......dont make the mistake I did and several others do. Go enjoy it.
