so just wanting ideas what it could be.sorta sounds like the drive shaft but the u joints seem good.
it doesnt do it on acceleration or upshift, Only on downsfit, hard deceleration or in reverse

as I said already the u joints don't wiggle at all.
it has a brand new clutch and I'm pretty sure that wouldnt make a clunking d/s sound.ima pull the d/s and inspect it better I suppose

I stuck a prybar between the trans and the trans mount and I can push the trans up like half an inch..I'm assuming that's probably not good

Change all your mounts. Just dont go to autozone. I had autozone mounts and almost a month later they all went bad again

they don't even have the trans mount.I've gotta get it from ford.
this car only has 50k on it but maybe when I had the clutch changed they messed up the mounts?

changed the trans mount.car still does it.like a 'pop' when I let of the gas harshly or if I downshift it.as if something is torqing.doesn't do it on upshift or accel.
didnt do it till I changed the rear end to another used one.all lca and uca are tight.driveshaft is tight
