After searching and searching for a roller block 351w to build I come across a great find, a ford strokers liberator 351w bare block all done up
http://www.fordstrokers.com/machined-bare-blocks/351-windsor-roller-block.html
They offer a payment plan which is great for me and I won't have to buy a 400 dollar junk yard motor pull it apart inspect machine like I want then buy this and that. With these guys I can make a budget minded purchase and already have exactly what I want.
Anybody have experience with FS? I know greasy got a bad ass 408 I believe anybody else got insight to this??

I have not bought anything from them but the have a great reputation. I have a good friend that is about to order an engine from them. the lead time is a little long.i think it is going to take 4-5 months to get his motor.
Spend a little time at the sbftech.com Jim woods the owner of fordstrokers owns the site. Some good stuff there.

Great company to deal with, they're very customer oriented. They'll hook you up with a payment plan. It'll also take longer then 4-5 months to get it but well worth the wait.

Excellent company. I dont buy those prepped blocks because they want 2-3 months just to buy a prepped block. They are slammed.
Yes payment plan is the shit!!!
I do payments as well, but like them, you actual have to have something to put down initially.

Oh yeah and another thing, if you plan on rebuilding a 351 to a 357 Jim will talk you out of it and you'll end up with a stroker. Not like that's a bad thing.

Jim also doesnt like alot of the roller 351 blocks due to cracking in the castings around the cam journals.

Yeah he's got this thread on the Corral

After I ordered my engine this thread came out lol I'm using a roller block. I should have gone with a Dart block right off the bat.

Why not use a non roller block. They are easy to come by. Just add link bar lifters and be done. Howard's link bar lifters are a good deal. They are made by morrel and at 370 they are a lot cheaper than anybody else. Woody recommends them.
I ran them for a season in my AI road race car. They worked great. I ended up going solid roller but still have them and will use them in something else.

Money wise whys the cost difference from buying a non roller and converting or getting the one in my link?? I haven't seen low prices for the conversion but I've been mainly looking at already roller blocks not treads concerning the cost of the conversion. Thanks for the replies fellas looks like I got a lot of research still left to do

Lunatis, Howard's, crower, isky and I am sure more are all the exact same lifter. Morel just puts a different name on them for whomever is buying them. I was surprised summits price was up to 370 on them. When I bought mine they were 319.
