If my splash shields are bent will I need new ones? Where would I find some cheap new ones? Does anyone run there brakes w/o the splash shield?
What else do I need for the front 5-lug conversion to install?
I have: the SN-95 spindle, caliper, and rotor assemblies.
I'm looking to get the Maximum Motorsports brake upgrade kit --> http://www.maximummotorsports.com/mmbp.asp , but I am not sure wether I should order the SN-95 SS brake lines or the fox ss brake lines?
I also know a spacer or stack of washer totaling .33" is needed to properly fasten the crown nut on the lower control arm ball joint. Can you a use a SN-95 ball joint on a stock fox LCA w/o using the spacer?
Will I need a SN-95 master cylinder and brake booster if I'm just running sn-95 fronts w/ 5-lug drums in the rear?
Thanks G.C. [ January 13, 2005, 12:44 PM: Message edited by: 1992gtdrop ]

I changed my balljoints to the steeda X2 when doing this, so then no spacers would be needed. ANd I gained better handling. So a sn 95 ball joint would work. You are probably due for new ball joints anyways

Would the SN-95 balljoint work correctly on a the front fox Contol Arm or should I go the spacer route? From what I've read the steeda X2 ball joint is for lowered SN-95 cars, would this work correctly if my car wasn't lowered? This is so confusing, but I want to get it right the first time. The ball joint works with lowered and non lowered for sn 95 spindles, just installed mine while doing my cobra brake kit install. Yes you can use stock sn 95 ball joints, you probably need new ball joints anyways so don't bother with the spacers.

and as long as the splash shields dont rub on the rotors or anything then dont worry about them, one of mine was bent to hell and I just tweaked it until it didn't rub the rotor

You can use the stock brake booster. If you do switch to rear discs you can still use the same booster, but will need a 2 port MC and and proper plumbing to run it. Maximum Motorsports sells the conversion kit for a reasonable price if you decide to change later.

i used sn95 ball joints on my fox, they are fine so far...( car isnt running yet.) i was also told that i would have to buy adjustable tierod ends to be able to adjust the toe correctly.. im also not using the splash shields most people told me i wouldnt need them anyways, but if you can salvage them then do it..

According to MM they say you can use a Ford set of ball joints or the Steeda X2 Ball joints. Just use a bumpsteer kit also.
