However if they are just small spots welded if one starts to rip it will tear and then (hopefully) when the stress hits the start of the next bead it will hold it. Think of binder paper, if it's the spiral kind every little hold catchs and makes you pull harder to rip it out: But with normal paper once it rips it comes right now all the way no problem.
