I just use the cheap ones from autozone and coat them with the exhaust specific silicone copper stuff. No clue on torque specs. I just snug them up firmly, nothing crazy then check them once or twice after driving a couple times. This has always worked well for me... even boosted.

No problem. I used Percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets on my old 91 and they worked great even when I reused them when I installed long tube headers, but this go around on my 93 I went through 2 sets and they both leaked, so idk what happened. Maybe they changed them up. With percy's they have no warranty. At least with the cheap ones you get a one year warranty, but as long as you do the light coating of the copper silicone you most likely wont need the warranty anyway. The gaskets came apart when I removed my headers and there were no leaks at all. Just make sure to keep the coating light so it doesnt obstruct the exhaust.

I use remflex gaskets with 5/16 head arp bolts to make it easier to get a wrench in there and blue locktite on the threads. Works great.

remflex has been one of the only fail safe gaskets with o returns also the only solution with non loosening headers bolts falling out as well. i installed hundreds of gaskets over the years. not one return or leak.

I run Percy gaskets with stock studs and nuts. Cleaned up the stud threads and everything is holding up great

best is a relative question
i use fel pro 1006, they are $70 each
but your heads need to be machined for the o rings
they are the best IMO, but i like the smack
